BOWIE, MD — The Bowie State men's basketball team looks to maintain its winning momentum against Virginia Union University in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Northern Division matchup on Wednesday, Feb. 14. This will be the nightcap game of a doubleheader featuring the women's game beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The doubleheader will be streamed live on the Bulldog Sports Network.

The Bulldogs (8-15, 3-10 CIAA, 2-4 North) are coming off a strong win against Elizabeth City State University, 64-56 last Saturday. BSU struggled in the first half but found consistent offense in the second half shooting 13-22 from the field (59-percent). The Bulldogs had two players score in double figures featuring Warren Mouganda who had 19 points, followed by Caleb Johnson who scored 18. Joel Webb led the team in rebounds with six and tallied two blocks, respectively.
Mouganda leads the Bulldogs in scoring (12.6 ppg) while Webb leads the CIAA in field goal percentage (61.3-percent) and the team in rebounds (5.9). BSU currently sits fifth in the Northern Division standings.
About Virginia Union University
Virginia Union (11-15, 6-7 CIAA, 5-2 North) is coming off a tough 63-60 loss against Concord University in non-conference action. It was a back-and-forth contest with the six lead changes before the final buzzer. Tahj Harding led VUU with 21 points and seven rebounds while Jonathan King added 12 points and 8 rebounds. The Panthers are currently second in the Northern Division and has a defense that ranks third in the CIAA (67.5).
