CIAA Weekly Honors
Bowie State softball has picked up another set of weekly honors announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon. Hill was named the CIAA Defensive Player of the Week and Dawkins was named the CIAA Rookie of the Week. The accolades are Hill's second of the season and Dawkins' first.

A native of Ruther Glen, Va., Hill tallied 12 catches, 11 putouts and one assist in the Bulldogs doubleheaders matchups against Millersville and Bloomsburg last weekend. Hill was perfect fielding against the Hilltoppers and Huskies. Her fielding percentage is currently .949 for the season.

As for Dawkins, the Ridgely, Md., native connected on her first career homerun Saturday against Bloomsburg, she went 1-for-1 from the plate in a major way, gathering an RBI. Defensively, she plays multiple positions, including in the circle but she shined last weekend at the shortstop position, producing three catches and three assists for a fielding percentage of 1.000.
