Kamara's dominance was on full display at the Marlin Invitational (Jan. 31) in Virginia Beach, registering a personal-best throw of 14.62 meters for first place and a No. 12 ranking in Division II. This performance followed an impressive showing at the Widener Winter's Evening Invite (Jan. 24-25), where she took first place with a throw of 13.56 meters.

The Hyattsville, Md., native made a strong statement at the HBCU Showcase Sponsored by KPMG (Jan. 18), finishing third with a throw of 14.35 meters. She would open this year's indoor season at the VMI Team Challenge (Jan. 11), where she dominated the competition with a winning throw of 13.57 meters.
