BOWIE, MD – The Bowie State men's and women's track and field teams look to bring home hardware as they travel to North Carolina for the 2026 CIAA Indoor Track & Field Championships Sunday, Feb. 15, through Monday, Feb. 16, at Tryon International in Mill Spring, N.C.

Bluefield State, Claflin, Fayetteville State, Johnson C. Smith, Lincoln (PA), Livingstone, Virginia State, Virginia Union, Winston-Salem State.
CIAA Top Performers
Bowie State features several of the CIAA's top-ranked athletes across sprints, hurdles, and field events.
Dareon Faircloth leads the conference in the men's 60-meter dash (6.74) and ranks sixth in the 200 meters (21.89).
Sidney Richardson sits seventh in the women's 60 meters (7.80).
Benick Akeh ranks sixth in the men's 400 meters (49.18) and eighth in the 200 meters (22.05), while
Aaron Little, Jr. is fourth in the men's 60-meter hurdles (8.22).
The Bulldogs' field events continue to be a strength, led by
Khory Reevey, third in the men's long jump (6.93 m).
Rebecca Bogy is third in the women's triple jump (11.51 m), while
Jaeden Warner ranks second in the men's shot put (15.70 m).
Jazmyne McGirt sits fifth in the women's shot put (12.25 m), and
Breanna Reid is second in the women's weight throw (14.41 m).
Tareik Jackson II is tied for sixth in the men's high jump (1.89 m).
Last Time Out
BSU turned in a strong performance at the 2026 Marlins Invitational, posting multiple top-10 finishes and setting several HBCU and Division II marks. Standouts included Faircloth, who won the men's 200m (21.78) and placed second in the 60m (6.88), Richardson, who set a new HBCU No. 52 mark in the women's 60m (7.72), and Jackson, who tied for second in the men's high jump (1.99m), establishing new HBCU and Division II rankings. The women's 4x400m relay also finished second (4:20.18), while
Mylah Faulk,
Anijah Medley,
Jazmyne McGirt, and
Breanna Reid highlighted strong individual performances across the middle distance, jumps, and throws.
