Box Score PETERSBURG, VA – Bowie State women's tennis (0-1, 0-1 CIAA) fell to Virginia State (3-0, 2-0 CIAA) 6-0 Saturday afternoon in a Central Intercollegiate Athletics Association (CIAA) match-up at the VSU Tennis Complex in Petersburg, Va.
The Bulldogs fell behind early, falling 6-1 and 6-0 in doubles play before succumbing in straight sets in singles action.
Torrienne Emery battled in the No. 1 spot but fell 6-1, 6-2, while
Kayla Lowery dropped a 6-1, 6-2 decision at the No. 2 slot.
Nakari Blunt fell 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 3 rotation and
Verneice Herndon fought but was defeated 6-1, 6-0 at position four.
