BOWIE, MD --- The Bowie State women's tennis team (2-9, 0-9 CIAA, 0-9 North) is set to face Southern Division opponents from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) conference during the CIAA Round-Up, taking place Thursday, Apr. 17 through Friday, Apr. 18. Matches will be held at the VSU Tennis Complex in Ettrick, Va.

About Bowie State
Standout players like Torrienne Emery and Tamia Byrom have led the way this season for the Bulldogs with Emery earning five singles wins and Byrom with a 4-1 record and an four match win streak. In doubles, Emery and Kayla Lowery have formed the most consistent tandem, while Byrom and Emery also found success together. The team's two victories came in dominant fashion against Trinity (DC), highlighting their potential.
Last Time Out for the Bulldogs
BSU battled hard but fell 4-3 to Virginia Union on Saturday, Apr. 12 at Battery Park in Richmond, Va. Emery, Nakari Blunt, and Byrom each earned singles victories, while Emery and Byrom also picked up a win in doubles. The Lady Panthers secured the match with the doubles point and a pair of default points.

Bowie State will travel to Pennsylvania, for a non-conference doubleheader against Shippensburg University on Monday, Apr. 21. First game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
