The Short Story
The Bowie State men's and women's cross-country teams competed at the Hornet Harrier Invitational and Commonwealth Challenge in Winchester, Va. The Bulldog women finished sixth overall with 123 points, while the men also placed sixth with 152 points. Emetem Bezezuh and Sean Trader led their respective squads.
The Finish Line
For the women, Bezezuh was the top Bulldog finisher, placing 20th with a time of 30:51. Kaniyah Ervin followed in 26th at 32:28, just ahead of Ugonna Ibegwam in 27th at 32:34. Destiny Lewis clocked 33:31 for 31st place, while Adonna Jackson finished 35th in 37:04. Summyr Williams also competed, crossing 39th in 54:58.
On the men's side, Trader paced Bowie State with a 19th-place finish in 23:11. Aidan Geron was next across the line in 31st at 24:46, followed by David Gooding in 35th (26:23), Mujaahid Jones in 36th (26:44), and Markell Yarborough in 39th (27:25). Kenneth McLeish finished 43rd in 28:29, while Ryan Stewart rounded out the lineup with a 45th-place time of 32:24.
