FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Bowie State women's bowling team (31-40, 25-23 CIAA) posted a 7–5 record over the weekend at the CIAA North/South Event III, hosted by Fayetteville State at B&B Bowling Lanes.

The Bulldogs opened the tournament with a 3–2 mark on day one, earning two victories over Elizabeth City State (689–642, 749–595) and a win against Virginia Union (713–641). Bowie State dropped a pair of matchups to Virginia State (729–762, 748–832).

Arianna Clayton led the Bulldogs from the No. 1 position, rolling a 193 in game one against Virginia State to pace Bowie State's effort on the opening day.

On day two, the Bulldogs finished 2–2, defeating Virginia Union (697–620) and Elizabeth City State (789–583). Bowie State fell to Virginia State (772–855) and dropped the opening matchup to Virginia Union (675–722).

Clayton continued her strong weekend performance, delivering the Bulldogs' top score of the day with a 222 in game four against Virginia Union.

The tournament concluded on the final day in Baker format, where Bowie State went 2–1. The Bulldogs defeated Elizabeth City State (730–604), narrowly fell to Virginia Union (649–652), and closed the weekend with a strong victory over Virginia State (805–687).
