BOWIE, MD — The Bowie State women's tennis team (0–3, 0–2 CIAA) will travel to West Virginia to compete in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Round-Up, hosted by Bluefield State University, on Saturday, Mar. 21, and Sunday, Mar. 22. Matches will be held at two locations: Court 1 at the Bluefield City Tennis Courts and Court 2 at the Princeton High School Courts.

The Bowie State women's tennis team fell 6–0 to Virginia State, Saturday, Mar. 14, at the BSU Tennis Courts. The Trojans took an early lead by sweeping both doubles matches, including a 6–1 win from Nakari Blunt and Asia Johnson at No. 1 doubles and a 6–0 victory from Payton Swinton and Verneice Herndon at No. 2.
Virginia State maintained control in singles play, winning all five matches in straight sets. Blunt, Herndon, Johnson, Swinton, and Daisy Pentorn were unable to claim a set as the Trojans secured the conference victory.

The Bulldogs will travel to Richmond, Va., to take on Virginia Union for a divisional match-up. First serve is set for 1 p.m. at the Arthur Ashe Courts in Battery Park.
