CIAA Top Performers
- Dareon Faircloth ranks second in the CIAA in the men's 100-meter dash (10.40) and is tied for first in the 200-meter dash (20.95).
- Marlin Newsome, Jr. sits fifth in the CIAA in the men's 100-meter dash (10.47).
- Sidney Richardson is tied for fifth in the CIAA in the women's 100-meter dash (12.02).
- The Bowie State men's 4x100-meter relay ranks third in the CIAA with a season-best time of 40.65.
- Jaeden Warner ranks second in the CIAA in the men's shot put (16.11m) and third in the discus (50.17m).
- Breanna Reid ranks third in the CIAA in the women's hammer throw (40.20m) and fifth in the discus (41.80m).
- Isam Banajah ranks third in the CIAA in the men's hammer throw (43.25m).
- Tatiyana Black ranks second in the CIAA in the women's hammer throw (41.37m).
Last Time Out
The Bowie State men's and women's track and field teams delivered a strong showing at the Morgan State Legacy Meet, highlighted by an event title, multiple podium finishes, and several top-10 performances. The women finished 10th overall with 26 points, while the men tied for 13th with 17 points.
Warner led the Bulldogs in the field events, capturing the men's discus title with a throw of 50.17 meters. He also added a third-place finish in the shot put (15.03m). Bowie State placed four athletes inside the top 10 of the men's discus, as
Parker McHeard finished eighth (42.13m), Khalil Brooks placed ninth (41.29m), and
Brandon Freeman took 10th (41.13m). Brooks also finished ninth in the shot put (13.52m).
On the women's side, the throws group continued to lead the way. Reid placed third in the discus (41.80m), while Black finished fourth (39.90m).
Jazmyne McGirt earned a podium finish in the shot put, placing third with a throw of 12.28 meters, and Black added a seventh-place finish (10.90m).
On the track, senior
Emetem Bezezuh posted a top-five finish in the 400-meter hurdles (1:04.51) and also competed in the 800 meters, placing 13th (2:20.37).
Ugonna Ibegwam finished 16th in the 400-meter hurdles.
In the field,
Anijah Medley placed eighth in the women's triple jump (11.32m), while the women's 4x100-meter relay team finished seventh (48.63).
