COMPLETE RESULTS

(PETERSBURG, Va.)  The Bowie State Univesity lady Bulldogs track and field team claimed first place at the Virginia State University Open with a total score of 149 points.

Top five finishers for Bowie State include Michelle Palmer (Oxon Hill, MD, Oxon Hill) (4th - 400 Meter Dash - 1:01.71), Shamika Patton (Frederick, MD, Frederick) (1st - 1500 Meter Run - 5:24.07), Nicole Robinson (Columbia, MD, Atholton) (1st - 100 Meter Hurdles - 15.79), Angelique Henderson (3rd - 100 Meter Hurdles - 16.48,  4th - 400 Meter Hurdles - 1:13.84 and 3rd - Long Jump - 5.17m), and Christina Rowles (Upper Marlboro, MD, Oxon Hill) (2nd - High Jump - 1.53).

Elaine Rhoades (Norfolk, VA, Booker T. Washington) placed second in the Triple Jump (11.86m) and Henderson placed third in the same event (10.80m).  Lakisha Carney (Newport News, Va., Denbigh), Kayla Campbell (Hampton, Va., Bethel) and Brandy Peat (Newport News, VA, Denbigh) were, first, second and third respectively in the Shot Put.  Carney took top honors in the Discus (38.12), followed by Alyce Harrell in second (38.10), Peat was third (30.36) and Campbell was fourth (29.62m).
