COMPLETE RESULTS

(RALEIGH, N.C.)  The Bowie State University Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs track & field teams had some great efforts to close out the 2010 Reebok Raleigh Relays. The event was highlighted by a third place fininsh by senior Aaron Johnson (Oxon Hill, MD, Oxon Hill) in the men's high jump.  Johnson, an indoor All-American, went over the bar at 2.15m (7-00.50).

On the women's side, sophomore Elise Perkins (Trenton, NJ, Lawrence) placed 16th in the 5000 Meter Run (Section II), coming in with a time of 17:41.19.  

The Bowie State women's relay teams had a pretty good day, placing 17th in the 4x800 (9:44.53), 21st in the 4x100 (48.81) and picked up 23rd place finished in the 4x200 (1:46.42) and 4x400 (3:58.04).  The Lady Bulldogs also returned home with a 16th place finish in the 1600 Sprint Medley, crossing the finish line with a time of 4:18.23.

Bowie State's Lady Bulldogs also had good field event performances with senior Lakisha Carney (Newport News, Va., Denbigh) leading the way.  Carney placed 12th in the women's discuss (40.84m / 134-00) and 22nd in the shot put (11.51m / 37-09.25).  Sophomore Brandy Peat (Newport News, VA, Denbigh) was 26th in the shot put (11.11m / 36-05.50), Perkins placed 30th (10.05m / 32-11.75) and freshman Alyce Harrell finished 33rd (9.65m / 31-08.00). 

Junior Jamin Gallman (Baltimore, MD, Baltimore Polytechnic) posted an 8th place finish in the men's 400 meter dash, clocking in with a time of 47.87.  Sophmore Michael Wallace finished 24th in the 5000 Meter Run (Section V), crossing the finish line with a time of 18:14.83. 

As a team, the Bulldogs 1600 sprint medley and 4x800 meter relay teams, finished 10th and 13th respectively with times of 3:32.58 and 7:50.26.  Bowie State garnered 22nd place finishes in the 4x100 (43.68), 4x200 (1:33.37) and 4x400 (3:18.01).
 
The Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs will return to action next weekend (April 2-3) at the Aggie Relays hosted by North Carolina A&T State University.
