BOWIE, MD – The Bowie State men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are preparing to compete in the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa., from Thursday, Apr. 24 to Saturday, Apr. 26. The events will begin at 9 a.m. at Franklin Field, starting with the high school boys' 4x800m heats.

At the Morgan State Legacy Invitational, Kamara led the Bulldogs with first-place finishes in the women's shot put (14.76m) and discus (50.46m). Lorenzo Pelham took first in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.48 seconds.
The men's shot put featured a first place for Movado Gray with a throw of 15.32m, while Warner finished third in both the shot put (14.18m) and discus (44.10m).The men's 4x100m relay team of Jarrett, Faircloth, Pelham, and Newsome, Jr. also recorded a personal best, finishing fourth with a time of 40.81 seconds.
Looking Ahead
Bowie State is set to compete in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Outdoor Track & Field championships, taking place Friday, May 2 through Saturday, May 3 at Durham County Memorial Stadium in Durham, N.C.
