The Bowie State's track and field team competed in the 2025 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) conference outdoor track and field championship held at Durham Country Stadium in Durham, N.C. The women's team tied for seventh place with 29 points, while the men's team secured sixth place with a total of 52 points Saturday afternoon.
Women's Track & Field
Throws
- Yassine Kamara earned a gold medal in the women's discus with a throw of 50.16 meters and claimed silver in the women's shot put with a mark of 13.09 meters.
- Na'Shae Early achieved a season-best and set a new HBCU Top 40 record with a throw of 29.60 meters, placing fourth in the women's javelin.
Men's Track & Field
Sprints
- Lorenzo Pelham claimed the top spot in the 110m hurdles, clocking a new HBCU Top 30 time of 14.23 seconds.
- Marlin Newsome, Jr. earned a second-place finish in the men's 200m finals with a time of 21.08 seconds and placed fifth in the men's 100m dash with a season-best time of 10.58 seconds.
Throws
- Jaeden Warner claimed a fourth-place finish in the men's discus throw with a mark of 44.74m.
- Leandre Lewis just finished outside of the top five with a sixth-place throw of 41.12 meters in the men's discus.
- Movado Gray and Warner placed fourth and fifth in the men's shot put with throws of 19.94 meters and 14.54 meters, respectively.
