FAIRFAIX, Va. – The Bowie State women's track & field team concluded the Patriot Games Invitational with positive results on Saturday afternoon.  FULL RESULTS

Sophomore Ameree' Yates placed fourth in the women's 60 Meter Dash with a time of 8.00, while sophomore Abigail Hunt finished seventh with a time of 26.52 in the women's 200 Meter Dash. Hunt also placed third in 400 Meter Dash, crossing the finish line at 59.82.

Sophomore Kaylia Brown finished 18th in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:35.98, while Cionne Gourrier placed 23rd in the Mile Run at 5:48.72. The Bulldogs 4x4 Meter Relay team (Johnson, Brown, Hunt and Yates) placed second with a 4:07.38 time.

Sophomore Soljala Jones placed second in High Jump, going 1.55m, while senior Niamani Mayes (4.49m) managed 10th in Long Jump. Jones also placed fourth in Long Jump with 4.99m.

Freshman Lorinda Bangura placed eighth in Shot Put with a throw of 11.40m and right behind her were juniors De'Sha Manago (10.65m) and Jordan McDonald (10.65m).

The Bulldogs are back in action on February 10th and 11th at the CIAA Indoor Championships in Winston-Salem, N.C.
