TOWSON, Md. – The Bowie State University men's track and field team traveled to Towson University on Saturday to compete at Towson Invitational, where freshman
Davon Carroll made his mark in 100-meter dash.

Carroll placed first in 100-meter dash with the time of 10.36. First-year runner placed 2nd in the preliminary race in 10.79. Sophomores
Stedman Cook (11.17) and
Xavier Williams (11.61) finished 11th and 22nd, respectively.
In shot put, sophomore
Kenny Fuentez placed 9th after recording 13.64m score. Fuentez also competed in discus throw and his effort got him into top 10, finishing with the final score of 43.04m.
In 4x100-meter relay, BSU finished in eighth with the time of 44.03, while freshman Benvindo ChiCha placed 11th in 110-meter hurdles in 17.10.
Senior
Robert Thomas placed 9th in 400-meter dash in 49.75, while junior
Jalen Sykes (50.29) and freshman
Demontay Snowden (50.61) finished 12th and 15th, respectively.
Sophomore
Koby Willis placed 13th in 400-meter hurdles in 1:06.91, while seniors
Frank Bailey O'shai Powers finished with the time of 23.31 and 23.77 in 200-meter dash.
In 4x400-meter relay, Bowie State placed third with the final time of 3:22.66.
Bowie State remains local for its next meet traveling to George Mason University on Saturday April 13 in Fairfax, Va.
