BOWIE, Md. - Saint Augustine's ran away with the men's title and Winston-Salem State held off three teams for the women's crown on the final day of the 2019 CIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Bowie State on Sunday. In women's long jump, Bowie State sophomore Soljala Jones placed third with a jump of 5.52m, while junior De'Sha Manago placed third with 12.48m in shot put. Jones (1.50m) also finished third in women's high jump.
Sophomore Abigail Hunt placed 12th in 400-meters timing 59.76

In 400-meters hurdles, sophomore Kaylia Brown finished 12th in 1:08.54, while senior Niamani Mayes placed 15th in 1:13.18.

Sophomore Telicia Farmer placed seventh in 3000-meters with the time of 12:08.37, while fellow sophomore Amaree' Yates finished in 25.72 in 200-meters. Yates also placed 13th in 100-meters clocking in at 12.44.

The BSU women's 4x100-meter team finished eighth with a time of 50.91 (Ekpo Blessing, Kayla Tucker, Hunt and Yates) participated in the race.

In 4x400, the Bulldogs placed sixth with the time of 4:09.63 (Hunt, Kaylia Brown, Yates and Jones) ran in the contest.

On the men's side, freshman Davon Carroll placed third in men's 100-meters preliminary at 10.57, while sophomore Stedman Cook managed sixth and qualified at 10.72. Carroll and Stedman also qualified for men's 200-meters.
Carroll took home first place in the 100-meters finals with the time of 10.51, while Cook finished fifth in 10.78. Both Carroll (21.41) and Cook (22.14) placed second and seventh in 200-meters final as well.

Freshmen Isaiah Coe (6.54m) and Derrick Corley (6.50m) finished sixth and seventh in men's long jump, respectively.

Coe placed first in high jump with 1.99m score, while sophomore Kenny Fuentez took second place in men's shot put finishing with 14.33m score. Coe also placed fourth in men's triple jump finals with a jump of 13.80m.  Demontay Snowden finished ninth in men's 400-meters at 49.83.

In men's 4x100-meter relay, Bowie State placed third at 41.69 (Demontay Snowden, Corley, Frank Bailey and Carroll) were the participants in the event. Fuentez did well in discus placing second in the finals at 44.43m.

Bulldogs placed third at 3:21.76 in 4x400-meter (Sykes, Robert, Powers and Snowden) ran in the contest.
