PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The Bowie State University men's cross country team competed in the Maryland Eastern Shore Invitational Cross Country meet on Saturday (Sept.21) to begin its season.

Freshman Frederick Eiland placed 20th in the 8k run with 28:54.20 and averaged 5:48.9, while fellow freshman Shane Massey finished 30th in the event with 30:53 and averaged 6:12.8. Freshman Donte Bussy (39:10.60) and Miles Johnson (44:34.40) both placed 60th and 67th.

Junior Koby Willis (47:16.10) and sophomore Frank Bailey (48:30.9) rounded out the event by finishing 68th and 69th, respectively.

The Bulldogs wrapped up their first cross country meet of the season at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore by ranking 9th, with the overall time of 3:06:46.40 and average 37:21.28.

The next scheduled meet for Bowie State is on September 27, when they travel to Delaware State University.
