BOWIE, MD – The Bowie State men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Championship on Thursday, Oct. 23, at Green Hill Park in Salem, Va. The men's race will begin at noon, followed by the women's race at 12:45 p.m.

Season Key Moments
- Emetem Bezezuh (Women's Team): Has led the Bowie State women's squad in every meet this season, posting a season-best 23:29.8 at the LVC Dutchmen Cross Country Invite.
- Sean Trader (Men's Team): First Bulldog to finish in three of the team's five meets, recording a season-best 18:16 at the Delaware State Sting Invitational.
- Kamren Branch (Men's Team): Served as the men's front-runner over the last two meets, posting a personal-best 18:02 at the Howard Invitational.
Last Time Out
The Bowie State men's and women's cross country teams turned in strong performances at the Howard Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 18. The Bulldog women finished fifth overall with 141 points, while the men placed sixth with 131 points.
For the women, sophomore Emetem Bezezuh led the way with a 23rd-place finish, clocking in at 23:49. Ugonna Ibegwam followed closely in 26th (24:39), and Kaniyah Ervin finished 29th (25:18). Adonna Jackson (26:07) and Fisayo Sule (26:34) rounded out the top five for Bowie State, placing 31st and 32nd, respectively.
On the men's side, freshman Kamren Branch paced the Bulldogs with an 18th-place finish at 18:02. Aidan Geron came in 24th (18:52), followed by Sean Trader in 27th (19:27). David Gooding (20:27) and Markell Yarborough (21:15) placed 30th and 32nd, while Ryan Stewart rounded out the lineup in 34th with a time of 22:58.
