The Short Story
The Bowie State men's and women's cross-country teams turned in solid performances at the Howard Invitational on Saturday. The Bulldog women placed fifth overall with 141 points, while the men finished sixth with 131 points. Sophomore
Emetem Bezezuh and freshman Kamren Branch led their respective squads.
The Finish Line
Bezezuh paced the Bulldog women with a 23rd-place finish, clocking a time of 23:49.
Ugonna Ibegwam followed in 26th with a mark of 24:39, while
Kaniyah Ervin crossed in 29th at 25:18.
Adonna Jackson (26:07) and Fisayo Sule (26:34) rounded out Bowie State's top five in 31st and 32nd place, respectively.
On the men's side, Branch led the Bulldogs with an 18th-place finish, completing the course in 18:02.
Aidan Geron followed in 24th at 18:52, while
Sean Trader placed 27th (19:27).
David Gooding (20:27) and
Markell Yarborough (21:15) finished 30th and 32nd, respectively, with
Ryan Stewart (22:58) rounding out the lineup in 34th.
