VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Bowie State women's indoor track and field team recorded 11 top-10 finishes at the Virginia Beach Sports Complex for their season opener Sunday, Dec. 5 at the KMS Opener. Senior Kayla Little earned a spot on the podium with a second place finish in the women's 200-meter dash with a soaring time of 25.96.

SPRINTS/HURDLES:
· Freshman Sanaa Sharp (Capitol Heights, MD) placed ninth overall (26.94) in the 200-meter dash.
· Senior Kevona Jones (Prince George County, MD) placed sixth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.17.
· Senior Kaylia Brown (Washington, DC) tabbed fourth in the 400-meter at 1:05.87 while freshman Agi Mboob (Germantown, MD) placed seventh overall at 1:06.57.
· Freshman Heaven Jenkins (Capitol Heights, MD) posted a finishing time of 2:01.64 in the 600-meter for eighth place overall.
· In the 60-meter hurdles, Bowie State had two athletes record top-10 finishes in freshman Destiny Ehirm (Lanham, MD) at fifth (9.79) and junior Mykayla Wall (Greensboro, NC) at seventh (10.08).
JUMPS:
· Ehirm also bagged a fifth place finish in the long jump with a marking of 4.85m while Mboob earned ninth place at 4.36m.
THROWS:
· In her collegiate debut, freshman Dasani Robinson (Durham, NC) placed fifth in the shot put with a throw of 8.27m.
UP NEXT: The Bulldogs will travel to Staten Island, NY to compete in the Seahawk Shootout hosted by Wagner College on Friday, Dec. 10.
