BOWIE, Md. – The Bowie State men's and women's indoor track and field teams will travel Newport, News, Va. for the Vince Brown Invitational in Newport, Va. at the Freemans Center on the campus of Christopher Newport University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.

Last Time Out
The Bowie State Bulldogs had a solid performance last weekend. BSU competed in the 6th Annual Finn Pincus Invitational, posting a total of 11 top-10 finishes from both the men's and women's side.
Seniors Kevona Jones (Prince George's County, MD) and Soljala Jones (Washington, D.C.) both garnered fifth place finishes in the women's 60m (8.12) and the women's high jump (1.45m). Additionally, a group of Bulldogs tabbed fifth in the women's 4x400m relay with a finishing time of 4:40.30.
Meanwhile on the men's side, Bowie State's junior Shane Massey (Lewes, DE) was awarded this week's Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) men's track and field athlete of the week. Massey, also finished third in the 400m run with a finishing time of 52.14 and fifth in the 200m run finishing with a time of 23.15. In addition, junior Mavado Gray (Lanham, MD) took home silver in shot put with a throw of 12.98.
