BOWIE, Md. – The Bowie State men's and women's track and field teams will travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., for the 2022 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Indoor Championships at JDL Fast Track on Sunday, Feb. 13 through Monday, Feb. 14.

On Sunday (2/13), the championship events is scheduled to begin with the men's heptathlon at 10:30 a.m., followed by the women's pentathlon on Monday (2/14), at 9:00 a.m.
Last Time Out
The Bowie State Bulldogs wrapped up their indoor regular season at the Liberty Open last weekend in Lynchburg, VA. The men's squad is coming off a fifth place finish while the women's team placed seventh at the 2020 championships.
The reigning men's shot put champion and senior Kenny Amaya (Bladensburg, MD) will look to defend his title this upcoming weekend. Amaya took first place after throwing a mark of 15.06m. Junior Frederick Eiland II (Columbia, MD) took third in the one mile run with a finishing time of 4:39.98 while also finishing fifth in the 5K race at 16.48.44.
Senior Kayla Little (Prince George's County, MD) highlighted the women's side by placing third in the women's 60m run with a finishing time of 7.72 while also claiming ninth in the 200m at 25.63.
