GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Bowie State men's track and field team turned in several personal bests over the weekend at the Aggie Invitational hosted by North Carolina A&T State at the Irwin Belk Sports Complex.
Final Results
JUMPS/HURDLES
- Joshua Carter (Bowie, MD) placed seventh in the men's pole vault, posting a 3.20m.
SPRINTS/DISTANCE
- Shane Massey (Lewes, DE) recorded a personal-best in the 400m with a time of 51.01 for 29th overall.
- Kareem Kelsick (Upper Marlboro, MD) turned in personal-best performances in the 100m (11.61) 64th overall and 200m (23.56) 32nd overall.
- London Diggs (Portsmouth, VA) registered a time of 51.41 for 33rd place in the 400m to improve in his personal-best while Frederick Eiland II (Columbia, MD) also tabbed a new personal best in the 400m (51.78) for 36th overall.
- Eric Thomas-Talley (Richmond, VA) finished 19th overall, setting a new personal-best 4:26.78 in the 1500m run while Thaddeus Green (Accokeek, MD) was 28th with a PR of 4:51.39.
THROWS
- Kenny Amaya (Bladesnburg, MD) tabbed seventh in the shot put with a throw of 14.24m.
- Alonzo Fluellen (Phenix City, AL) finished 13th in the javelin with a 38.26m mark while in the discus he placed 19th overall with a throwing mark of 39.86m. The discus throw mark was his personal best.
