BOWIE, Md. – The Bowie State track and field teams will return to action this weekend at the Aggie Invitational hosted by North Carolina A&T State University. The meet will be held on Saturday, April 9 at the Marcus T. Johnson Track.

Bowie State displayed a solid and consistent performance at the Seahawk Invitational. The Bulldogs snatched 43 top-10 finishes between both the men's and women's teams. On the men's side, the field events highlighted the Bulldogs while on the women's side, the Bulldogs combined for a complete effort on both sides.
For the women, there were several Bulldogs that captured first career wins in respective events such as Mykayla Wall (Greensboro, NC) claiming first in the triple jump (10.22m), Destiny Ehirim (Lanham, MD) grabbing gold in the 100m hurdles (15.60), while Agi Mboob (Germantown, MD) took home first place in the 200m dash (26.16). Additionally, Dasani Robinson (Durham, NC) won the discus with a throw of 30.07m.
Meanwhile on the men's side, Kenny Amaya (Bladensburg, MD) placed first in two of four throwing events with a mark of 14.33m in shot put and 41:66 in discus throw. He was named this week's CIAA Male Field Athlete of the Week. Furthermore, Bowie State racked up additional first place wins highlighted by Marquan Fenwick's (Washington, DC) 400m time (52.17), Eric Thomas-Talley (Richmond, VA) 3000m steeplechase (10:24.65) performance and Joshua Carter (Bowie, MD) pole vault win with a mark of 3.15m.
