BOWIE, Md. – Bowie State cross country is set to compete in its second meet of the season at Saturday's Sting Invitational hosted by Delaware State in Smyrna, Del. The meet will take place at the Delaware Outreach & Research Center.
Both the men's and women's cross-country teams will compete in the 5,000-meter run with the women's race starting at 9:15 a.m., followed by the men's at 10 a.m.
The Bulldogs are coming off competition at the Dutchmen Invitational last weekend. Notable highlights came from junior Eric Thomas-Talley (Richmond, VA) who placed 78th overall with a finishing time of 29:02.70 on the men's side while freshman Destiny Lewis (Huntingtown, MD) led the women's team with a time of 22:37.00 (96th) in her collegiate debut.
Following the Sting Invitational, Bowie State will participate in the Short Invitational hosted by the University of Maryland Eastern Shore on Saturday, Sept. 24.
