CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Bowie State University junior Eric Thomas-Talley was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.
The Richmond, Va., native led the Bulldogs to fourth place finish, clocking a 17:11.9 in the 5k at the DSU Sting Invitational. Thomas-Talley paced the Bulldogs with a seventh place finish amongst 42 runners individually. Bowie State finished with 139 points.
The accolade is the first for Thomas-Talley and Bowie State this season.
The Bulldogs return to the course Sept. 24 at the UMES Shore Invitational in Princess Anne, Md.
