SALEM, VA - The Bowie State women's cross country team concluded its regular season finale at the Roanoke Invitational Friday afternoon at the Green Hill Park. The Bulldogs placed 12th overall with 331 points.
The top runners for the Bulldogs included
Makayla Hill at 53rd overall and a time of 25:57.4 while
Destiny Lewis placed 76th at 27:13.6 and
Nasya Fields finished 91st overall (28:23.0).
Kyera Spriggs would close out the runners for BSU with a time of 32:59.5 for 129th out of 139 runners.
Fayetteville State claimed the team's victory in the women's 6k race with a combined 49 points while Emory & Henry (64) and Washington and Lee (76) tabbed second and third, respectively.Â
Bowie State will compete in the 2023 CIAA Championship to conclude the cross-country season on Thursday, Oct. 26 in Salem, Va., also at Green Hill Park.Â
