BOWIE, Md. - With the threat of inclement weather in the forecast, Bowie State softball's season opener twinbill originally slated for Sunday, Feb. 12 at Washington Adventist has been postponed.

Bowie State will now open the 2023 season at the HBCU Classic featuring teams from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). The Bulldogs will take on Edward Waters at 1 p.m. and Tuskegee at 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17.
