Bowie State Continues Competition This Weekend at Morgan State Legacy Track Meet

BOWIE, Md. - Bowie State track and field will continue its 2023 slate this weekend at the Morgan State Legacy Meet on Saturday, Apr. 22 at Earl C. Banks Field at Hughes Stadium. Running events are slated to begin at 9:00 a.m., while field events start at 10:00 a.m.

Bowie State joins a total of 15 teams participating in the Legacy Meet, including Morgan State, Coppin State, Delaware State, District of Columbia, Howard, Lincoln (Pa.), Old Dominion, Towson, and Virginia State.

Last Time Out
BSU competed in the NSU Invitational hosted by Norfolk State last weekend. On the men's side, senior Joshua Carter headlined the Bulldogs with a third place finish in the pole vault at 3.80m. and senior Movado Gray placed fourth in the shot put (14.27m). FreshmanYassine Kamara earned sixth place in the discus with a throw of 39.35m and fifth in the shot put with a mark of 12.35m for the Bulldog women.

What's Next
The Bulldogs will travel to Philadelphia, Pa., to compete in the prestigious Penn Relay Carnival at historic Franklin Field. The three-day event begins Thursday, Apr. 27 and will conclude Saturday, Apr. 29. Live results and video will be available at www.thepennrelays.com.
