The Short Story: Bowie State women's indoor track and field team recorded a total of five personal-best and two season-best performances to headline the Bulldogs at the VMI Invitational.
SPRINTS
- Ashleu Ayukegba had a personal-best 7.99 seconds in the 60m for 15th overall, she followed up top-25 in the 200m at 26.42.
- Kam'Ryn Fontaine set a personal-best in the 200m as well, clocking a time of 26.75 (27th overall).
- Catherine Enwereji grabbed 17th in the 300m at 44.32.
DISTANCE
- Mylah Faulk got a personal record as well in the 800m race at 2:30.53 (21st overall) while Destiny Lewis registered a season-best in the same event at 2:40.05 for 39th overall.
JUMPS
- Zahra Graham earned a season-best in the long jump, going 4.87m (31st overall).
- Anijah Medley went 4.76m for a personal-best also in the long jump for 35th overall, followed by a 19th finish in the triple jump at 10.03m.
- Shakila Campbell posted a 9.74m in the same event for 24th overall.
THROWS
- Yassine Kamara led the flock, claiming second overall in the shot put with a throw of 13.01m which set a new personal-best.
- Na'Shae Early tabbed a top-25 spot in the same event with a mark of 10.57m for 22nd overall, followed by a 21st finish in the weight throw at 11.75m.

Bowie State will travel to Lynchburg, Va., to compete in the Liberty Open Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex.Â
