BOWIE, MD — Under the leadership of first year head coach Pamela Crockett, the Bowie State men's and women's outdoor track and field teams have announced its 2025 schedule, featuring a series of high-profile meets across the East Coast.

"After experiencing the intensity of the CIAA indoor season, I am eager to transition into the outdoor campaign," said head coach Pamela Crockett. "Indoor shot-put runner-up Jaeden Warner returns with an exceptional throws squad, anchored by captain Movado Gray in his final season. Their presence will undoubtedly be felt. Our dynamic sprint trio—Marlin Newsome Jr., Jaiden Jarrett, and Dareon Faircloth—all true freshmen, made a significant impact indoors, and I have high expectations for them to contend for conference titles. While our team is young, we possess exceptional strength across the throws and sprints, complemented by a standout talent in the 400m hurdles."

"On the women's side, we have added depth to support CIAA Indoor Field 'Athlete of the Year' Yassine Kamara," added Crockett. "As she embarks on her final season, our focus is on securing a national championship while also ushering in a new era of talent for Bowie State in sprints, intermediate hurdles, and high jump. We are ready, and attitude is everything!"

The Bulldogs open the season on March 29 at the Maryland Invitational in College Park, Md. BSU will then travel to Norfolk, Va., for the Norfolk State Invitational on April 4, followed by the Morgan State Relays in Baltimore on April 18.

Bowie State will compete in the Penn Relays in Philadelphia on April 24, one of the premier events in collegiate track and field, followed by a trip to Durham, NC, for the CIAA Championship on May 2, where the Bulldogs will compete for conference hardware.

The season concludes at the NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships in Indianapolis on May 22.
