CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Bowie State track and field senior Yassine Kamara has been named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.

Kamara, the CIAA Indoor Field Athlete of the Year delivered a dominant performance at the Maryland Invitational, claiming top honors in both the shot put and discus. She secured first place in the women's shot put with an impressive throw of 14.39m and topped the women's discus event with a mark of 48.35m.

The Bulldogs will compete at the Towson Senior Twilight Open on Friday, April 4, at Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson, Md.
