BOWIE, MD – The Bowie State's men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will compete in their second meet of the outdoor season at the Towson Senior Twilight Open on Friday, Apr. 2, at the Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson, Md. The meet begins at 12 p.m. with field events.

Bulldogs Last Timeout
The Bulldogs produced standout performances at the Maryland Invite on Mar. 29 in College Park, Md., setting multiple HBCU records and personal bests.
On the women's side, Mylah Faulk placed 10th in the 400m (59.66), while Anijah Medley and Zaniya Gavins excelled in jumps, setting an HBCU records in the long jump. Additionally, Medley also finished second in the triple jump.
Meanwhile, in the throwing events, Kamara took first place in both the discus (48.35m) and shot put (14.39m). Na'Shae Early and Dasani Robinson placed in the top 10 in discus, while Jazmyne McGirt secured fifth in shot put. Early and Belvia Ann Yangue set personal bests in the hammer throw, and McGirt and Mikel Lewis placed in the top three in javelin, entering the HBCU's top 30 rankings.
For the men, Benick Akeh won the 400m hurdles (55.44), setting an HBCU top-21 record. Jaiden Jarrett, Dareon Faircloth, and Robert Silinzy placed in the top 10 in the 100m, while Aaron Little, Jr. finished third in the 110m hurdles. The Bulldogs' relay teams both took third place.
In the field events, Jaieri Barber won the high jump, and Silinzy and Ceque Stevens placed in the top four in the long jump. Jaeden Warner and Leandre Lewis earned top finishes in discus and hammer throw, while three Bulldogs ranked in the top 10 in shot put.
Looking Ahead
Bowie State will travel to New Jersey to compete in the Oscar Moore Invitational on Saturday, Apr. 12 hosted by Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J.
