(BALTIMORE, Md.)  The Bowie State Univesity men's track and field team placed sixth overall at the Coppin State University Eagle Twilight event with a score of 36 points.  Top finishers for the Bulldogs include first place finishes by William Bailey and Collin Cumberbatch (Piscataway, NJ, Piscataway) and third and fourth place finishes by Alonzo Williams and the 4x100 Meter Relay team.

Bailey took top honors in the Long Jump (7.59m / 24-11.00) and Cumberbatch claim the top spot in the Shot Put (14.97m / 49--01.50).  Williams participated in the 110 Meter Hurdles, placing third with a time of 14.79.  BSU's 4x100 team (Ridwan Cole (Bowie, MD, Bladensburg), Jamin Gallman (Baltimore, MD, Baltimore Polytechnic), Dana Smothers (Bel Air, MD, Harford Technical) and Darren Williams (Lanham, MD, DuVal)) crossed the finish line with a time of 42.80 in the finals.

In terms of overall team points, Delaware State was first (98 points) , Coppin State in second (80 points), Morgan State was third (55 points), Lincoln (Pa.) fourth (48 points), Cheyney came in fifth (47 points), Bowie State, Maryland-Eastern Shore placed seventh (28 points), St. Paul's eighth (24 points), York (Pa.) finished 10th (8 points) and the University of Maryland was 11th (6 points).
