Box Score 2 BOWIE, Md. – Wilmington University of Delaware picked up a pair of non-conference victories over Bowie State on a cold and windy afternoon, beating the Lady Bulldogs 13-2 and 22-0.
In game one, the visiting Wildcats took a 1-0 lead in the top half of the 1st inning only to see BSU's Lady Bulldogs push two runs across in their half of the inning.

Cassandra Clayborne began the bottom of the first with a double to left center. Junior
Aiyana McNair reached on a throwing error by the Wilmington catcher allowing Clayborne to score. Senior
Megan Alexander recorded the teams first RBI of the afternoon, scoring McNair for a 2-1 Lady Bulldogs lead.
The Wildcats answered with four runs in the top of the 2nd inning and added another seven runs in the top of the 3rd inning to break the game wide open at 12-2.
Wilmington (11-11 overall) added an insurance run in the top half of the 4th inning to pretty much close out game one of the non-conference doubleheader.
Bowie State (2-12 overall) had six hits with Clayborne and Kirara Washington leading the way with two each.
Game two of the twin bill was all Wilmington as the Wildcats plated 15 runs in the opening inning and rolled to a 22-0 shutout. The Wildcats pounded out 15 hits and pitchers Katie Warrington and Danielle Griffin combined for 10 strikeouts.
Bowie State's lone hit in game two came off the bat of Alexander in the bottom of the 4th inning.
The Lady Bulldogs will look to get back into the win column this weekend (3/16 and 3/17) as they participate in the Salem (Va.) Invitational.
