SALISBURY, N.C. – Bowie State women's bowling went undefeated with a 11-0 record during the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Event II at the Woodleaf Lanes hosted by Livingstone this past weekend.
BSU competed against schools from the Northern Division that included Elizabeth City State, Virginia State and Virginia Union. Through the first two days of action, the Bulldogs rolled to an average of 819.75 for a total of 6,558 pinfalls. Bowie State swept their opponents by at least 160 points on Friday and 200 points on Saturday during traditional play.
Day three of the event, Bowie State delivered wins over ECSU (886-605), VUU (817-688), and twice against VSU (786-513 and 809-477) in the Baker's round. The Bulldogs racked up a total of 3,298 total pins.

Cayla Snowden (Baltimore, MD) and graduate senior
Takara Wigfall (Forestville, MD) both posted a total of 1,407 and 1,064 pinfalls, respectively. Wigfall had the best day for the Bulldogs, averaging 177.33 in six games of play, including a 213 in the first game of the day. Snowden posted a 175.88 average in eight games, while sophomore
Erin Pearson (Bryans Road, MD) competed in three games and finished with a 164.00 average.
