Women’s Bowling to Compete in TNBA/HBCU Invitational

BOWIE, Md. – The Bowie State women's bowling program will compete in the TNBA/HBCU Invitational this weekend hosted by Jackson State University in Douglasville, Ga. The tournament will be held at the Southern Lanes bowling alley located at 3931 Longview Drive, Douglasville, Ga., 30135.

Competition starts on Friday, Mar. 4 through Sunday, Mar. 6. Day one will consist of Baker total pinfall, followed by the second round (Day 2) with traditional team matches. Day three will conclude with match play. A champion will be crowned as well as a runner-up champion based on results from the three-day competition. Individual awards will consist of First and Second All-Tournament Team (10 player's total). All-Tournament Teams will be based on performance from Traditional Team games and must participate in five games to be eligible.

Bowie State will join other HBCU's from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA).
