Bowie State men's track and field placed eighth overall with a total of 26 points in the 2023 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championship Saturday afternoon at Durham County Memorial Stadium. The Bulldogs were highlighted by a
Joshua Carter's second place finish in the pole vault.
Virginia State repeated as conference champions, scoring 140 points to pull away from Saint Augustine's (111) and Claflin (107.5).

- Carter earned a gold medal in the pole vault with a mark of 3.75m.
THROWS
- Movado Gray finished sixth in the discus throw (40.66m) but in the shot put, Gray earned a fourth place finish with a toss of 14.28m.
- Ahmad Johnson (12.19m), Ahmad Johnson (12.19m), Isa McDonald (10.81m) and Nasser Ross (10.78m) all finished top-15 in the shot put featuring ninth, 14th and 15th place individually.
- In the javelin, Ross threw a mark of 33.80m for 13th place overall.
