BOWIE, MD. – Bowie State men's and women's cross-country will open its 2023 competition at the Spider Alumni Open Saturday, Sept. 2 hosted by University of Richmond at Pole Green Park, Va.
The meet will be the 22
nd year the men's and women's races will be held at Pole Green Park, Va.
There will be three races on Saturday (9/2) starting at 8 a.m. with Richmond XC Festival 4K Open Race. The college races will start at 9:15 a.m. with the running of the men's 6K, while the women's 4K will start at 9:50 a.m. and serve as the final race of the day. There will be 16 teams scheduled to run.
On the men's side, the Bulldogs return four and welcome a total of seven including four new freshman. Meanwhile on the woman's side, the Bulldogs return three runners from the 2022 season and welcome four freshman. The Bulldog men's and women's cross country programs are led by

Following this weekend's season opener, the Bulldogs will compete in the Dutchmen Invitational next Saturday, Sept. 9 in Lebanon, Pa.
