The Short Story
The Bowie State men's and women's cross-country teams competed in 5K races at the Delaware State Sting Invitational in Dover, Del., with the women's team finishing fifth overall and the men's team placing seventh. The Bulldog women had three runners place in the top 30, while the men put two inside the top 25.
The Finish Line
- Emetem Bezezuh was the first Bulldog to finish for the women, placing 26th with a time of 24:44.
- Kaniyah Ervin followed in 29th at 25:12, while Destiny Lewis finished 30th at 25:24.
- Ugonna Ibegwam placed 41st with a time of 27:35.
- Adonna Jackson crossed 45th in 29:11, and Summyr Williams rounded out the lineup in 49th with a time of 44:27.
- On the men's side, Sean Trader paced BSU with an 18th-place finish in 18:15.
- Mujaahid Jones was next for the Bulldogs, placing 25th in 18:48, followed by Aidan Geron in 34th with a time of 20:05.
- Markell Yarborough recorded a 43rd-place finish in 23:19, while Kenneth McLeish came in 44th at 23:30.
- Ryan Stewart capped the lineup with a 50th-place finish in 30:39.

The Bulldogs will take a week off before returning to action at the 2025 Don Carthcart Invitational in Salisbury, Md., on Sunday, Sept. 28, with the race scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
