BOWIE, MD --- The Bowie State University men's and women's cross-country teams have officially announced their 2025 season schedule on Friday.
The Bulldogs will launch the season on Friday, August 29 at the Goucher Invite in Baltimore, Md
"It's hard to believe the cross-country season is right around the corner," said head coach Pamela Crockett. "This year, we're building momentum behind sophomore standout Malik Carter, who will lead a promising men's squad. He'll be joined by key returner Kendall Allen and an exciting group of newcomers—Kamren Branch, Mujaahid Jones, and Sean Trader—forming a dynamic and youthful lineup."
BSU will compete at the Dutchmen Invitational in Annville, Pa., on Sept. 6, followed by the Delaware State Invitational in Dover, Del., on Sept. 12. After a brief break in competition, the Bulldogs will return to action at the Don Cathcart Invitational on Sept. 28 in Salisbury, Md., before closing out the regular season at the Bison Invitational in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 17.
On the women's side, Coach Crockett is confident in the leadership and experience of her veteran runners.
"We're leaning on the grit and consistency of our returning core—Destiny Lewis, Tamera Lee-Rodrigues, Nasya Fields, and Emetem Bezezuh," Crockett said. "Their leadership will be critical as we navigate a challenging schedule. All signs point to an exciting and competitive season. We're ready to run."
The Bulldogs will cap off the season at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Cross Country Championships on Oct. 24 in Salem, Va.
