RICHMOND, VA --
Eric Thomas-Talley recorded a time of 31:46.92 for third individually to lead the Bowie State men's cross country team at the VUU Opener hosted by Virginia Union Friday afternoon at Bryant Park.
The event is Thomas-Talley's first top-3 finish of the season after returning to the course for his second meet of the season. Three Bulldogs featuring
Keon Witherspoon (32:42.94),
Justin Alston (32:47.45) and Sean Montague (32:52.48) all placed seventh, eighth and ninth, respectively. Â
Additionally,
Caleb Rose would finish 13 overall to round out the top-15 finishes for BSU at 35:15.44. Overall, the Bulldogs finished second overall with 36 points while Virginia Union won the team event with 29 points. Bluefield State and Chowan would collect 64 and 100 points for third and fourth place team finishes.
Bowie State will participate in the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury on Saturday, Sept. 30 in Salisbury, Md., at Winter Place Park.
