Bowie State Cross Country Lends Hand with Grace Christian School Meet

BOWIE, MD --- The Bowie State men's and women's cross country teams gave back earlier this week, volunteering at Jericho Park with Grace Christian School's meet on Tuesday.

"I was excited for our men's and women's cross country student-athletes to volunteer with this event," said Assistant Coach Ishakeema Swain. "It was great for our student-athletes to come out and offer words of encouragement to our younger generation of athletes. This is another way for our program to give back to our community."

Members of the Bulldog cross country programs motivated and encouraged middle schoolers throughout the race while freshman Makayla Hill had the honor of starting the race.

This is the second community service initiative for the Bulldogs cross country programs this season.
