BOWIE, MD – The Bowie State men's and women's indoor track and field programs will compete in the 2024 VMI invitational on Friday, Jan. 26 and Saturday, Jan. 27 hosted by Virginia Military Institute. The meet is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Corps Physical Training Facility in Lexington, Va.

Jaden Warner won the men's shot put, his first career win and a personal-best with a throw of 14.66m, one of three top-three performances by the Bulldog men at the Cardinal Classic at the PG Sports Complex in Landover, Md. Meanwhile, on the women's side, Bowie State's Yasinne Kamara (shot put) and
Zahra Graham(high jump) claimed top-3 performances in their events to provide marquee moments for the Black and Gold.
Notably,
Eric Thomas-Talley has the leagues best time in the 5000m run (16:57.47) and
Darrien Ocean has the CIAA's second-best in the 60m dash (6.82) to represent the Bulldog men while Kamara owns the CIAA's best mark in the shot put (12.90m) and
Na'Shae Early owns the league's top mark in the weight throw (12.26m).
