BOWIE, MD -– Bowie State's men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will travel locally for its second meet of the season when the Bulldogs head to the Maryland Invitational which takes place this Friday, March 22nd and Saturday, March 23rd at Kehoe Track & Field Complex in College Park, MD.
On this two-day event, the running events will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the 5000-meter race while the field events will take place at 3:00 p.m. featuring the women's discus.Saturday's events will begin with the hammer throw at 10 a.m.

Bowie State opened its outdoor season at the Dan Stimson Invitational in Williamsburg, Va., last weekend where both teams did exceptionally well for its season opener. On the men's side, the Bulldogs recorded three top-3 finishes that featured Dhani Young with a second-place finish in the 100-meter dash (11.24), while Corey Anderson, Jr. finished second in the triple jump (13.55m) and Fallou Mboup finished third in the 110-meter hurdles (15.77).
For the women,Yassine Kamara led the Bulldog's outstanding performance with two first-place finishes for the discus throw (42.51m) and the shot put (13.33m). Additionally, Na'Shae Early recorded a first-place finish in the javelin throw (29.88m).
