BOWIE, MD - Bowie State's men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will compete in the VSU Invitational hosted by Virginia State University in Petersburg, Va. on Saturday, April 27 at Rogers Stadium.
The field events will take place at 9 a.m., with the men's javelin, while running events will begin at 10 a.m. with the women's 100-meter hurdles. The event will be the Bulldogs regular season finale before conference championships next weekend.

BSU men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed in the Morgan State Legacy Track Meet last weekend. On the women's side, Na'Shae Early earned third overall in the javelin throw (34.23m) while Yassine Kamara earned fifth place in the shot put of 13.50m.
On the men's side, Joshua Carter led the Bulldogs as he finished fourth place in the pole vault (3.80m). Additionally, Alonzo Fluellen finished with two seventh place finishes in the javelin throw (46.31m) and the hammer throw (33.71m).
