BOWIE, MD – The Bowie State women's bowling team will open its 2025-26 campaign with the Strathmore USBC meet hosted by Monmouth University on Saturday, Oct. 25, and Sunday, Oct. 26. The first roll is set to begin at 9 a.m. ET at AMF Strathmore Lanes in Aberdeen Township, N.J.

About Bowie State
The Bulldogs entering the 2025-26 campaign ranked third in the CIAA Preseason Polls, looking to build on a successful season in which they posted a 50-14 overall record and finished third at the CIAA Championship. Bowie State captured its 10th consecutive Northern Division crown behind a dominant 42-3 conference record, including a 33-2 mark in divisional play.
Bowie State advanced deep into the CIAA Championship with key victories over Virginia State, Elizabeth City State, Livingstone, Johnson C. Smith, and Shaw before falling to Virginia Union in the double-elimination round.
Last season, the Bulldogs were led by All-CIAA selections in TaVera Johnson and Arianna Clayton, while Johnson and Janaye Monroe earned All-Tournament Team honors. Additionally, both Johnson and Clayton also received league recognition for top averages and standout performances throughout the season.
Heading into this year, Monroe and Clayton were both named to the 2025 All-CIAA Preseason Bowling Team, underscoring Bowie State's experience and consistency at the top of the conference.
