INDIANAPOLIS, IND --- The NCAA announced on Monday morning that the Bowie State University softball team has been selected as the No. 8 seed in the NCAA DII Atlantic Region and will face the top seed No. 15 East Stroudsburg in the NCAA Atlantic Region pods at Creekview Park for the third consecutive season from Thursday, May 8 through Saturday, May 10.
The Bulldogs will join Shippensburg (No. 4 seed) and West Chester (No. 5 seed) in the upcoming double-elimination tournament, with the winner advancing to next week's NCAA Division II Atlantic Super Regional.
This marks Bowie State's sixth all-time NCAA Tournament appearance and its third straight in the last four seasons, earning previous bids in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2023, 2024, and now 2025. The Bulldogs (27-18) secured their third consecutive CIAA championship on Saturday with a 7-6 victory over Claflin in Orangeburg, S.C. Presleigh Braxton led the way offensively, going 2-for-4 with a home run and an RBI. Coreena Dunham and Lindsey George were named to the All-Tournament Team, with Dunham earning Tournament Most Valuable Player honors.

All games will be broadcast on the PSAC Sports Digital Network. Creekview Park's Vigon International Field will be the site of two contests on Thursday, three games on Friday, along with two potential games on Sunday.
