Earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Management in May of 1989, earned an Associate in Business Administration in Secretarial Science, Information Processing in September of 1984 at Strayer University. Sam is the owner of The Muse Group, Professional Sales, Promotion, Business Development and Distribution Services. His company was recognized for outstanding sales and commitment by Natural Hair Care Product Company in 2006, 2007, and earned a position of Founding Director in 2008.
Athletic achievements and honors include BSU Defensive Player of the Year in 1986-1987, Defensive Player of the Week, CIAA Defensive Back of the week September 1987, CIAA Honorable Mention October 1987, CIAA Honorable Mention October 1987 for outstanding performances, awarded by the Bowie State University United States Army Reserve Officers Training Corps Department for Outstanding Leadership in 1987-1988 (Courage, Integrity, Loyalty, & Dependability). Voted team captain in 1986-1988, ranked third in the Nation in interceptions among NCAA Division II Defensive Backs with eight interceptions in 1988 and ranked seventh in the Nation among NCAA Division II Defensive backs with seven interceptions in 1987 and Awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by Bowie State University Department of Business Administration, Public Administration and Economics for Outstanding Leadership and Service to the department May 1, 1989. Sam agreed to join the Canadian Football League's Hamilton Tiger Cats in 1989 participating in training camp becoming a fan favorite for his aggressive style of play and interception return for a touchdown during the final pre-season game, Signed with the Pittsburgh Gladiators now the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League in 1989. Mr. Muse was assigned in 1992 to the Washington Marauders of the Professional Spring Football League. Voted Defensive Rookie of the year in 1991 with the Semi-Professional Mason Dixon Football League's District of Columbia Stonewalls and in 1995, he retired with the Central Pennsylvania Piranha's of the Mason Dixon semi- professional football league.
Sam gives back to Bowie State University. He served as mentor to Bowie State's athletes Delante White, 2011-2013 CIAA second team, All-Conference, Defensive Back, Darius Clair, 2011-2013 steady performer and big play Defensive back, as well as Horatio Cannon,
1995-1997 who averaged the highest interception return yards in the history of NCAA
Division II football with a 44.7 yards per return totaling 6 for 268 yards. In addition, he has engineered a distribution network using electronic mail successfully communicating with BSU alumni the successes, accomplishments and achievements of past and present students. He's currently mentoring high school student athletes who express an interest in attending Bowie State University and member of Good Brothers, Inc.
